brush codes will not import

When I try and import brush codes nothing happens, I copy cde and import code but the original brush code is not overwritten. Any hrlp will be appreciated

No hard feelings Surov. You just sounded as frustrated as John and myself must have been with this issue.
Having worked for 30 years with Autodesk design software I couldn't understand why this simple thing was such a problem.
One plus. The support at Pixarra is much better than Autodesk.
We must lay this to rest now. Thanks again for your valiant efforts on our behalf.
The problem is solved.

don't worry I can understand your confussion, you take time to help with our problems and can easily get frustrated with our repetitive questions. This is only because we cannot grasp the problem as quick as yourself.
Thanks again.

John Rainford,

I'm sorry for some harshness of my answer.
(I was confused by the repetition of your first post in the beginning of the 2nd page of the topic.
It looked like spam. But it is a question to Ken about setting up a forum...)

In the future I can advise the following:
Follow the posting rules of the code.
If someone would publish Brush Code without complying with the rules
however, you are very interesting (necessary) this brush, you can...

1. copy this code (to clipboard)
2. insert this code into any text editor

The code will look like this:
--- cut ---
** START BRUSH CODE

2305

189,211,225,100,12,58

Basic

Solid 20 percent feather

3,255,255,255,250,231,247,255,255,255,189,211,225

Multiplier,flat,0,9

Scatter,flat,0,1

Size,rnd,9,9

Hilite1 3-4,flat,2,9

No effect,combo,0,0

No effect,combo,0,0
--- cut ---
etc.

3. manually remove extra blank lines from the code

The code will look like this:
--- cut ---
** START BRUSH CODE
2305
189,211,225,100,12,58
Basic
Solid 20 percent feather
3,255,255,255,250,231,247,255,255,255,189,211,225
Multiplier,flat,0,9
Scatter,flat,0,1
Size,rnd,9,9
Hilite1 3-4,flat,2,9
No effect,combo,0,0
No effect,combo,0,0
--- cut ---
etc.

4. Copy again (to clipboard) and paste into TwitedBrush

again I'm sorry,
Regards,
Surov

I can only advise you one thing:
Carefully re-read the topic and understand what it contains ...

Repeated questions on this subject will be regarded by me as trolling and spamming.

 Hi Thomas,

I thought a lot about it :)

PS.
I think it will be useful to post links on this topic (about solving your problem):

I agree with Thomas, could you please explain what causes this problem and how to avoid in future.

Amen!
I agree with you Surov.
How on earth did you discover what the problem was?

Dear Thomas, believe me, I am very glad that I could help you!

This forum has one genius.
This genius is Ken Carlino.
Many people in this world owe him happy minutes of life.
Some are no longer with us, but I am sure that they are in heaven praying for him, and continue to thank Ken for the happy moments that brightened up their lives on earth...

Surov!
You are the man!
Leave Russia and come stay with me.
You hit the jackpot!!!
It works now! I can't believe it. I used the html code and everything worked. I was using code from the forum and plain text code which didn't work.
You are a genius. I think you deserve a free licence for that. It really made my day.
Now what is the difference? The user guide doesn't tell you that.
A million thanks for that.

Ok,
now try to import the code from here:

To solve your problem I need accurate input data.
Kindly specify the exact link to the message that has a brush code that you are unable to import.

Most likely you are trying to import code that someone posted without following the rules.
The correct (exemplary) design of the code for import is contained in Ken's message "Testing brush codes":
http://support.pixarra.com/support/discussions/topics/22000005484

Please note: The HTML format.

Hi John
I never did get Spuddys code to import but I did find that I finished up with a combination of his brush and the brush I had supposedly overwritten on the brush selector.
What I did do and the messages are on the forum, is edit the code from information he supplied to achieve the desired effect.
The fact is I haven't been able to import any code since.
It's significant that you discovered that it had changed, I think some serious de-coding is called for.
I did have some other issues but I was able to sort those out after extensive reading of the user guides etc. Unfortunately this issue can't be resolved in this way and I did note that there appears to be several different ways to import code which in itself I find rather odd as in my case none of them worked.
As a matter of interest did you find that if you tried to load the brush into an artset, it loaded the 'overwritten brush' and not the imported one. If I tried to cancel it still loaded and I had to delete it.
Maybe an upgrade will cure this.
Best of luck!

Thomas
